We are proud to say that our longstanding relationships with foreign employers has only grown stronger over the nearly four decades that we have been in business.

The company's operations were temporarily halted when the COVID-19 pandemic led to a downturn of the foreign employment agency business. Armed with a renewed vigor and an unmatched understanding of the recruitment processes of several key global employment hotspots, as well as of many unusual yet unfailing choices for those looking for work abroad, GSR has risen from the ashes and is once again ready to service the dreamers and the far-reachers of Sri Lanka.

George Steuart Recruitment (Pvt.) Ltd., was incorporated in the year 1993, and commenced business in the year 1986 as a division of George Steuart & Company Ltd. Our main activity is the recruitment of professionals, skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled workers for overseas principals, garnering us an excellent reputation from our foreign employers.

We have a wide range of foreign principals in many countries across the globe. We have dispatched semi and unskilled workers through the Korean Federation of Small and Medium Business (KFSMB) to South Korea, during the period 1997 to 2007. The number of recruits dispatched under this agreement was 4,387 out of which 663 were females. We were the only private recruiting agency to be appointed as the recruiting agent of KFSMB. All recruits dispatched were provided with residential training consisting of Korean language, culture, lifestyle etc., by us, as stipulated in the agreement. Welfare and attending to the problems they faced whilst in employment were handled by our branch office in South Korea.
